Hey there! Thanks for visiting Seafoot Games. We’re passionate about creating fun digital maps and adventures for your tabletop games, and we want everyone to have a great experience. These terms lay out the basics for using our site or buying from us. By browsing or purchasing, you’re agreeing to them. If not, that’s okay, just don’t use the site. We’ll update these from time to time (check the date above), and keeping using the site means you’re good with changes.
Who We Are and Who This Applies To
We’re Seafoot Games, a husband and wife couple based in Australia. These terms are between you and us. You should be at least 18 to use our site on your own. If you’re younger, please involve a parent or guardian. Our site isn’t designed for super-sensitive stuff like health data, so use at your own discretion if that applies to you.
Our Stuff Belongs to Us (Intellectual Property)
We hold the copyright and all other intellectual property rights in our battlemaps, campaign sourcebooks, adventures, designs, text, images, code, and logo. These are protected by Australian and international copyright and trademark laws.
When you purchase our products, you get a personal use license. This lets you use them for your own games (online or in-person), including streaming on Twitch/YouTube or making videos (just give us written credit in the description, like “Battlemaps by Seafoot Games | seafootgames.com”). You’re also welcome to use them when running professional GMing sessions for paying players. We love seeing our maps in action!
However, please don’t copy, distribute, sell, modify, or use our stuff in other commercial ways (like including high-res files in products you sell) without our written permission. We keep full ownership to protect our work so we can keep creating more.
For broader commercial uses (e.g., in published adventures or print resale), check out our Creator Commercial Use License or Print Reseller License, which you can purchase on Patreon. For the full scoop on personal use, see our simple Personal Use License.
Signing Up and Your Info
If you make an account, keep your details accurate and your password safe. Don’t share it. Let us know if anything suspicious happens. We might remove inappropriate usernames, and we can suspend accounts if needed, but we’ll aim to be reasonable.
Buying Stuff
Our products are digital downloads, so double-check descriptions before buying. Prices are in USD, and we might add sales tax if required. We use PayPal for payments. We can adjust prices, limit orders, or fix errors anytime.
Refunds: We want you to love what you buy! If you’re not 100% satisfied, just email us within 30 days of purchase, and we’ll give you a full refund, no questions asked, no excuses needed. (See our full Refund Policy for details.)
Emails and Communications
When you buy, you’ll get order confirmations, download links, and maybe 1-2 follow-up emails asking for an honest review (it really helps us improve and reach more gamers). We won’t spam you, we promise.
We also use tools like Google Analytics to anonymously see how people use our site (e.g., popular pages) so we can make it better. When we run ads on Facebook, we have a tracking pixel that shares info about your actions on our site (like page views) with Facebook to make ads more relevant. We don’t sell your personal data, and everything is handled securely. For full details on how we collect, use, and protect your info (including cookies and third-party tools), check our Privacy Policy.
You can unsubscribe from non-essential emails anytime via the link or by contacting us.
What You Can’t Do (Prohibited Stuff)
Let’s keep things positive, please don’t:
- Hack, scrape, or use bots on our site.
- Upload viruses, spam, or harmful stuff.
- Copy our content to sell or misuse.
- Harass others or break laws.
- Interfere with the site or other users.
If rules are broken, we might block access or take steps to protect everyone.
We love hearing from you! If you leave reviews, comments, or other content on our site, keep them genuine and based on your own experience. By posting, you grant us a permanent, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, modify, and distribute your contribution anywhere, including on our website, social media, Patreon, DriveThruRPG listings, and other marketing materials. This helps us share great feedback with the community. You won’t be able to request removal later, so please only post what you’re comfortable with us using long-term. You still own your words, we might remove anything inappropriate, and we’re not responsible for user content.
Submissions and Feedback
Ideas or suggestions you send us? We appreciate them and can use them freely (no payment required). Thanks for helping us grow!
Links to Other Sites
We might link to external sites or tools, but we’re not responsible for them. Use at your own risk and check their policies.
Changes or Downtime
We work hard to keep the site running smoothly, but it might go down for updates or issues. No guarantees of perfect uptime.
Resolving Issues
If there’s a problem, email us first; we’re friendly and want to sort it out. If needed, disputes are handled under Australian law, with resolution in Tasmania courts or arbitration.
Disclaimers and Limits on Liability
The site and products are provided “as is”. We do our best, but no promises they’re flawless. We’re not liable for indirect issues (like lost data), and our max responsibility is generally what you paid us recently. (Some consumer laws give extra rights, we respect those.)
You Protect Us (Indemnification)
If your actions cause us legal trouble, you agree to help cover costs.
Electronic Everything
Online agreements and emails count as official, no paper needed.
Wrapping Up
These terms cover our full agreement. If one part isn’t valid, the rest still applies. Questions? Email us at bebandluke at seafootgames dot com, we’re here to help!
Thanks for being part of the Seafoot community, Luke and I truly appreciate you!
